| The focus of my work usually revolves around plant forms. The Murmur Series is also concerned with the natural world, but in a different way. Evidence of the process of nature is the primary concern. Instead of representing a specific object, my interest is more in observing the work of nature; ant trails, birds, bees, bugs, even what is not directly seen, like the wind. Water is also key, both in the forms it takes in the landscape and as a medium. The making of the work is repetitive and obsessive yet there is an element of chance and unpredictability, as there is in nature. |
